"Shokudaiokonjac" is a rare plant of the Araceae family native to Indonesia, and its large one exceeds 3 meters in height and is also called the "world's largest flower".

"Shokudaiokonjac", which bloomed for the first time in two years at the National Science Museum Tsukuba Experimental Botanical Garden in Tsukuba, is 2 meters high and 32 cm in diameter and 86 cm in diameter. Small flowers are gathered, and the leaves are shaped like petals.

The flower bloomed for the first time in two years on this month, and the botanical garden opened specially on the 20th despite the closed days, and visitors came to photograph rare flowers one after another.

Depending on the botanical garden, it will begin to wilting in 3 or 4 days after flowering, so the central axis will soon fall and the flower will gradually close.

Mr. Tomohisa Yukawa of the Tsukuba Experimental Botanical Garden said, "I was impressed at the moment of flowering. I think that the withering of flowers is a form of life, so please come and see them."
