Harry Martinson's poem poem Aniara from 1956 has previously become a theater, opera, ballet and comic book, but this is the first time it will be a feature film. It takes place on a spacecraft that lost its course somewhere in space and deals with both death anxiety and climate anxiety.
- It's awful that it is as current as it is now. At the same time, it is also precisely what has made it successful and it allows many to absorb and understand the message, says Emelie Garbers about Aniara's strong contemporary connection.
Emelie Garbers has previously won an award for her role performance in Aniara at the Les Arcs 2018 film festival and she is also recognized by the comedy series Dejta on SVT.
