Two suspects indicted

Franck Labois, 45, died on January 13, two days after being overturned voluntarily by a van. During the night of January 10 to 11, he was mowed down by a driver while he was carrying out an operation in Bron aimed at arresting individuals suspected of being involved in an aggravated robbery case in an organized gang.

Two suspects have since been charged: a 15-year-old minor and a 19-year-old man suspected of driving the vehicle. The latter was placed in pre-trial detention. He admitted to being the driver but denied having intentionally struck the official.
