Actress Cynthia Nixon - Natan Dvir / Polaris / Starface

Cynthia Nixon will make her Broadway debut with Last Summer at Bluefish Cove , a play written and edited by Jane Chambers in 1980. The story follows a group of gay women vacationing in a fictional seaside town named Bluefish Cove.

A heterosexual woman then unexpectedly joins the group after leaving her husband while ignoring the orientation of her mates.

A great initiative

As the New York Times recalls, the play was praised for its positive representation of homosexual women at a time when they were absent from mainstream Broadway productions. However, the essay has rarely been transformed and the pieces honoring lesbians are rare on the famous avenue.

This production by Cynthia Nixon should be released later this year and may give ideas to others. The star of Sex and the City can in any case count on branded supporters since Ellen DeGeneres, Harriet Newman Leve, Portia de Rossi and Jane Wagner decided to produce the play.
