Australia: A thirsty koala drinks rainwater from tar - 20 Minutes
The rain finally falls on Australia. Something for locals and firefighters but also koalas. Pamela Schramm, an Australian from the town of Moree in New South Wales, was returning home with her children when she saw a koala in the middle of the road.
She then stopped to check that the koala was in good health and realized that it was just completely dehydrated.
480 million animals have died since September, the date of the fires that ravage southeast Australia, according to the University of Sydney.
