“The earthquake occurred on the morning of January 17, 2020 in the Pacific, at a depth of 50 km,” the message says on the website of the State Ministry for Emergencies in the region.
It is noted that as a result of the earthquake there is no destruction, no one was hurt.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located 120 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky urban district.
No tsunami threat was announced.
On January 9, the FAN reported that an earthquake of magnitude 6.3 on the Richter scale occurred in Chukotka.
