There was a distinguished guest during the swearing-in of the 15 new Jersey City firefighters: a Bruce Springsteen. The Boss had come to attend one of the most important days in the life of his son Sam, 25, who officially became a fire soldier in the city of New Jersey, the state where the interpreter of Highway Patrolman was born. .
"It was a long way, but he is very involved, he has been working on it for years and we are very happy for him," the singer told WCBS, a CNN-affiliated channel.

Sam Springsteen left the Monmouth Fire Training Center in 2014 after very rigorous training.
Ideal family
Bruce Springsteen and his wife, musician Patti Scialfa, have three children, and like Sam, none wanted to follow the path laid out by their parents and get into music. Evan Springsteen, 29, is a programmer and presenter on SiriusXM radio while Jessica, 27, is a riding champion.
