Kengo Kuma, the architect who designed the new national stadium, will be in charge of designing the Children's Literature Museum, which introduces the works of Eiko Kadono, a children's literature writer known for "Kiki's Delivery Service".

Edogawa-ku, Tokyo plans to open a children's literature museum in 2022 that introduces the works and worldview of a local children's literary writer known as “Kiki's Delivery Service” and other works.

Kengo Kuma, the architect who designed the new national stadium, will be in charge of the design of the Literature Museum. On the 15th, Kuma, Kadono and Mayor Saito met for the first time at the Edogawa Ward Office.

Kuma-san said, "I'm glad to be involved in it because I'm a big fan of Kadono's work. In the digital age, I want to create a novel literature museum where I can feel books with my five senses."

Mr. Sumino said, "I want to build a literary museum with the senses that I have always thought about, and that I will take care of my children's honest eyes and heart.

In the future, the ward will work with Mr. Kuma and Mr. Kadono on the specific contents of the Literature Museum.
