A 87-year-old woman dies in a run away Gunma Fujioka January 13, 14:06

On the morning of the 13th, an 87-year-old woman was hit by a car and died on a prefectural road in Fujioka City, Gunma Prefecture. The car ran away and the police are investigating as a runaway case.

Around 7:30 a.m. on the morning of 13:30, a nearby woman found that Michiko Arai (87), living in a neighborhood on a prefectural road in Fujioka, Fujioka, Gunma Prefecture, had fallen, and reported to the fire department.

Arai was taken to the hospital, but died about three hours later after hitting her head.

According to the police, Arai was standing by the side of the road with the woman she reported to just before. When the woman heard the loud noises and looked at the road, the car ran in the south direction and Arai had fallen.

Since parts of the car had fallen on the road, police have been searching for the whereabouts, such as proceeding to identify the type of car from the parts as a runaway case.

The site is a straight lane with one lane on each side of the district where stores and houses are lined up.
