Among the big Netflix releases at the end of 2019, we obviously found The Irishman , by Martin Scorsese, or the series The Witcher , with Henry Cavill. No one, however, has really talked about Holiday in The Wild , the romantic Christmas comedy with Rob Lowe and Kristin Davis. And yet ... According to its main actor, the film was much bigger on the platform.
"I just made a movie for Netflix. It was their most popular film and yet it was a stupid Christmas film with an elephant. Take this, Martin Scorsese. I was told not to repeat it. But hey, I would work for anyone, "he said in an interview with the Television Critics Association that Relays People.
Not the same audience
Holiday in the Wild tells how a freshly divorced woman, interpreted by Kristin Davis, decides to go to Africa to forget her problems. There she meets a pilot, played by Rob Lowe, with whom she will save a baby elephant. In short, an ideal Christmas film which seems to have won over a wider audience than the three hours of the mafia film by Martin Scorsese.
Netflix is not in the habit of revealing all its figures, but according to the platform, The Irishman was viewed by more than 26 million accounts last December, a month after the film's release. More of you have watched Holiday in the Wild , but no one has apparently boasted about it.
