Former Saudi national team and Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad clubs Khamis Al-Owairan died on Tuesday morning after a struggle with illness.
Al-Owairan had a surgical operation in King Fahd Medical City after he suffered from a health problem, after which he entered the hospital a year ago.
It is noteworthy that Al-Aweeran played for Al-Hilal for four seasons from 1997 to 2001, then moved to Al-Ittihad between 2001 and 2007, and retired after his contract expired.
