Mariah Carey has just broken a new record. All I Want for Christmas Is You is the first song in the history of Billboard's Hot 100, the American benchmark chart, to jump straight from first place ... No place at all.

Would listeners suddenly stop listening to Mariah Carey's hit after the holidays? Billboard confirmed on Monday that the five Christmas songs in the top 10 have left not only the top of the rankings, but the top 100 as a whole. These are Rockin 'Around the Christmas Tree by Brenda Lee, Jingle Bell Rock by Bobby Helms, A Holly Jolly Christmas by Burl Ives, It's the Most wonderful time of the year by Andy Williams… And the song by Mariah Carey , therefore, which was number one.

19th time in first place

Last year, Entertainment Weekly recalls, Mariah Carey had already set a starting record for the top 100, when All I Want for Christmas Is You left the ranking while the title was in third position.

Mariah Carey is also the solo artist with the most songs at the first place in the history of the Billboard ranking: it was the nineteenth time that All I Want for Christmas Is You , released in 1994, was number 1. Circles of Post Malone is back in first place for the third week.
