A sixteen-year-old Moroccan girl came after her father refused to buy her a "smart phone", after a family feud, according to "Sputnik".
The girl took up rat poison, which resulted in her death at her family's home in Larache, Morocco.
According to the "Larache" website, Morocco is witnessing a rise in suicide rates, especially in the northern cities and villages, which requires rapid intervention by the Moroccan authorities.
A Moroccan study published on the second of September last year indicated that Morocco witnesses 5.3 suicides per thousand people, between 2000 and 2016, to be the second Arab country after Sudan, according to the United Nations.
