Nepalese police said a wild tiger preyed an eight-year-old boy outside his home in a village in central Nepal. Bodhi Prasad Subedi, a police inspector for the "Tanaho" area, said the boy was on his way to a house when the tiger pounced on him. He added that the child's pants and slippers were found near the road, then the inspection teams found his body at a distance of about 250 meters from this place. A two-year-old young tiger was killed in the same area a week ago.

According to the police, the bodies of at least six children who were attacked by animals, likely to be wild tigers, were found in Tanahu over the past two years.

Conflict between wild animals and humans has escalated in Nepal over the past months, reinforcing concerns about the safety of people living near forests and national parks.
