His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, gave the Arab Republic of Egypt 425 rare Egyptian artifacts from multiple eras dating back to BC and after that in a touch of love and appreciation from his new highness to Egypt, which played and is still an active educational and enlightening role in our Arab homeland all.
The history of the artifacts that reached Cairo from Sharjah dates back to different time periods from pre-dynastic times in the fourth millennium BC and the dynasties of ancient, middle, and modern kingdoms and the Ptolemaic period of the fourth century BC - the first century BC. M and the second century AD and the Coptic era, the fourth to sixth century AD.
This rare group includes stone, porcelain, wood and bronze statues representing various Egyptian deities, including but not limited to Amun and Isis, among others.
It also includes wooden coffins decorated with colors, human and animal mummies, birds, fish, necklaces, bracelets of precious stones, beads, pendants, and animal models representing falcons and fish of alabaster and wood.
Sharjah had returned to Egypt, its sister, last year 345 Egyptian artifacts of historical value.
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah is considered one of the largest and most interested in the Arab heritage and its preservation because of His Highness’s belief in its historical importance and great value in enriching the heritage of all humanity.
