At the moment, two of two. If a few days ago, the producer, distributor and exhibitor who was president of the Film Academy between 2011 and 2015, Enrique González Macho, was acquitted of the crimes of subsidy fraud and documentary falsehood in regard to the movie The Island interior , by Felix Sabroso and Dunia Ayaso, now as much by Rosa y negro , by Gérard Jugnot. This was ruled by the court of criminal number 27 of Madrid on December 30.

The thread of the reasoning of the car is very similar to that of the previous one. The suspicion of what was once called "box office fraud" or, shorter, "box office" weighed on the film released in 2009. Basically, it would try to oversize the collection to reach the minimum time required by the Ministry to access the subsidy. All this before the reform of the law in 2015 that varied the model of granting aid.

The system consisted of "buying oneself" tickets to reach the minimum number of spectators required (60,000 or 30,000, depending on the character of the films). In that or, and this is where González Macho would be, in collusion with distributors and exhibitors, supposedly inventing projections or false morning sessions.

Well, as in the previous case, the judge considers it unproven that González Macho in collusion with the producer of the film Edmundo Gil Casas, were directly responsible for falsifying the data for which they acquired the right to receive 58,675 euros in concept of general amortization and 700,000 as complementary aid. Long ago, the Institute of Cinema (ICAA) initiated a file by which, and after determining a series of irregularities, they forced the return of the subsidy.

What is now judged, however, was criminal liability. For which the defendants faced sentences of up to four years, according to the request of the State's attorney and a fine equivalent to three times the amount granted (731,972 euros). The complaint was filed by some employees of the Lido cinema two years after the events and after the closing of the hall. These former workers talk about morning sessions "fantamas" and the box office (Esther García Martínez) claims to have seen the manager "get tickets that were not paid ." None of this is proven.

The sentence affirms that "although there could be alteration of the data" ... "the previous concert of the defendants to alter the data is not accredited". Consequently absolution. And there are two. "I receive each sentence as an act of relief," the accused confessed shortly after hearing the ruling. González Macho admits that he still has another case pending for the tape Paisito , by Ana Díez.
