One fire died in an apartment in Kita-ku, Tokyo.

A fire broke out in a room in a seven-story apartment building in Kita-ku, Tokyo early in the morning of March 31, two people were rescued, but one died and one was unconscious.

Around 3:30 a.m. on the 31st, there was a report that fire was coming out of a room on the second floor of a 7-story apartment building in Akabane-Kita, Kita-ku, Tokyo.

Firefighters came out and firefighted, and the fire was extinguished after about an hour and a half, but about 15 square meters of the fired room was burned.

According to the fire, two people were rescued from the room where the fire started, but one of them was burned all over and his death was confirmed on site. The other is a woman who has been treated at the hospital but is unconscious.

The site is a condominium in a residential area about 1.7 km away from JR Akabane Station.
