Preparing for the event Cassette cassette burst 3 burns Iwate Miyako December 22 15:26

While preparing for the event in Miyako City, Iwate Prefecture on the morning of March 22, several gas cylinders for cassette stoves in a food stall exploded, and three people burned to their faces and hands.

According to police and the fire department, several gas cylinders for cassette stoves at the stall exploded at the venue of the Miyako Salmon Big Fishing Prayer Festival, which was scheduled to be held in Miyako City at 10 am on the 22nd.

Three people involved in the event, in their 50s and 60s, were burned to their faces and hands and transported to the hospital, all of which were slightly injured.

It was before the event started, so no customers were involved.

According to police, the stall had planned to sell scallops and oysters on a charcoal fire in a kitchen based on drums, but an employee man forgot that gas cylinders had been placed inside the drums and charcoal. The rupture occurred when the fire started.

The local fire department says that placing gas cylinders near heaters such as stoves may cause them to burst, so they are calling for caution when using them.
