The ski resort is "begging for snow" in the warm winter Shinto Aichi Toyone Village December 21, 11:41

A snow ritual was held at a ski resort in Aichi Prefecture, where the opening was postponed due to the lack of snow in the warm winter.

Chausuyama Kogen Ski Resort in Toyone Village, Aichi Prefecture is the only ski resort in the prefecture.
However, the snow had not fallen in the warm winter, and the postponement of the opening scheduled for the 21st was decided. On the morning of the 21st, priests and officials of ski resorts attended and a ritual of snow begging was held.

In front of the bare slopes, attendees saw the chopped washi paper as snow and prayed for the snow to fall early and open the ski area.

In addition, this ski resort has introduced four artificial snow machines that can operate when the temperature drops below minus 2 degrees. If the temperature falls, it will be fully operational and aim to open around 28 this month.

Mr. Mitsuhiko Yanagisawa of the Chausuyama Kogen Association, which runs the ski resort, said, "I hope the snow begging will be effective and snow will fall soon."
