The Specialized Communications Corporation (Nidaa), the exclusive provider of secure communication networks accredited to the Dubai government, yesterday hosted an Arabic calligraphy event organized in the Foundation’s headquarters, in cooperation with the Department of Culture in Sharjah, to celebrate the International Day of the Arabic Language, which falls on December 18th.

The foundation hosted the calligrapher Mustafa Abdel Qader, who introduced employees to the Arabic calligraphy, its different types and techniques. The calligrapher took the initiative to write the names of the participants in different authentic Arabic letters to highlight the Arabic calligraphy and its aesthetics.

For his part, the Executive Director of Nidaa Mansour Bouasiba said: “Today we celebrate the International Day of the Arabic Language in honor of its originality, richness and distinguished role in bringing together different cultures, and in renewing our commitment to multilingualism, which is a major component of cultural diversity. We would like to be a sponsor of spreading awareness and deep appreciation for this language, which is a fundamental pillar of our national heritage, and one of the most widespread languages ​​in the world. ”

He added: "Today we hosted the effectiveness of Arabic calligraphy as a confirmation of us to adhere to and celebrate our Arabic language, and we are seeking in Nada Foundation to support and sponsor initiatives aimed at spreading awareness about the importance of language to achieve a sustainable and comprehensive cultural prosperity in the Emirates."
