Hassan Afifi, the former Egyptian artist and designer and former member of the Reda Ensemble, passed away today.

"Today, I lost my friend and companion for my artistic journey, the artist and designer of shows, the icon of the band Raza, Hassan Afifi," the actor and director Mohamed Sobhi wrote on his official page on Facebook.

He added, "I was a kind and helpful person to everyone around you ... For me, my beloved brother ... and helpful in most of my artistic work ... I left today and will remain in the hearts of your fans with your rich and honorable history."

Afifi graduated from the Faculty of Science at Cairo University, and began his artistic career as a dancer in the Reda Band and participated with her in a number of films before he devoted himself to choreography and the training of artists.

He designed dances and performances for dozens of plays and films, as well as the Ramadan phases and a thousand and one nights. The late was married to actress Hana Al-Shorbagy.
