Edwin Evers, who said goodbye to his morning show Evers State Op on Radio 538 a year ago, will return to the radio temporarily. The DJ will be on Radio 10 from 16 to 20 December every day from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. where he will give the presentation of the Top 4000.
Evers was asked by Gerard Ekdom at the end of November to be part of the presentation team of the annual hit list, which can be heard on Radio 10 since December 4 and is broadcast until December 24.
In Ekdom's show, Evers announced on Friday morning that he would like to do this. "I think it's a nice and spontaneous idea," he says. "I have followed the Top 4000 in recent years and I have something with a hit list in which you can hear pretty much all the cool pop hits of the past fifty years.
In addition to Evers, Jeroen Nieuwenhuize and Edwin Diergaarde, among others, can also be heard as presenter of the Top 4000.
On January 1, 1998 he started Evers Staat Op at 3FM and since 2000 the program could be heard on Radio 538.
In the time that followed, Evers wanted to focus more on his own band and writing music. When announcing his farewell, Evers already emphasized that he is not completely leaving the radio world behind. "The chance that I will return is 120 percent. This is not a goodbye, but a restart with a small break." In the meantime, Evers could be heard once as a substitute for Veronica Inside.
