Jim Starlin is unhappy about a video in which the American president Donald Trump takes the form of the Avengers character Thanos. The cartoonist is surprised that the president compares himself with a mass murderer.
In the official campaign video of the American president, a scene can be seen from the film Avengers: Endgame , in which the villain Thanos says that he is 'inevitable' and tries to destroy the world in one go with a snap in his fingers.
In the version of Trumps campaign team, the head of Thanos is confused with that of Trump. The caption states that the re-election of the incumbent president is inevitable. Then you can see how Nancy Pelosi, president of the American House of Representatives, is swept away by a sandstorm, just like the opponents of the character Thanos in the superhero movie.
House Democrats can push their sham impeachment all they want. President Trump's re-election is 𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲.Avatar
"How sick is that?"
In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter , Starlin, who invented Thanos in 1973, says he initially felt hurt because Trump used his creation for his own purposes. "But then I suddenly realized that the leader of my country and the free world takes pleasure in comparing themselves to a mass murderer."
"How sick is that? These are sad and weird times that we are now experiencing. But luckily everything, even national nightmares, ever comes to an end."
In Avengers: Endgame , Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Brie Larson, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo and Paul Rudd play, among others.
