Wednesday night is the first edition of the Olympia Awards, a brand new ceremony, in partnership with Europe 1, broadcast live on C8 at 21:15. It rewards the talents of music and humor. This is one of the most prestigious venues, but it took more than 125 years for the Olympia to distinguish its own artists. A ceremony not to be confused with Victoires de la musique, according to Laurent de Cerner, co-director of the venue. "It is on two pillars that will rest this evening, both humor and music, the same DNA as that of the Olympia.But obviously it was necessary that there was also a wink, so in terms of programming there are many artists who have already gone to Olympia or will soon find Olympia, "says Laurent de Cerner.

Among them the singer Apple, the group Therapy Taxi or those no longer presented as Alain Souchon or Catherine Ringer. Named also in the humorist category of the year: Jamel Debbouze, Franck Dubosc or Muriel Robin. And originality of the ceremony, presented by Antoine de Caunes, it is the public who votes and not the professionals.
