Sharjah officially received the banner of the guest of honor of the Mexico Book Exhibition (Vail) 2020 to be representative of Arab and Emirati culture, as India - the honorary guest of the exhibition 2019 - conveyed the title to the emirate, and the head of the Sharjah Book Authority, Ahmed bin Rakkad Al-Amiri, received the banner from the Indian Ambassador to Mexico Manprit Vohra .

During the handover ceremony of the banner of the guest of honor of the exhibition, which witnessed the playing of the Emirati national anthem presented by Emirati musician Taresh Al Shamsi, India and Sharjah exchanged commemorative shields and launched the slogan of participation, which carried the phrase "Hello everyone", among a group of officials, writers, publishers and media professionals.
