Cissi Wallin is charged with a number of Instagram posts where she wrote that she was raped by journalist Fredrik Virtanen. The first post was published on October 16, 2017 and was one of the first publications in social media where a public person was named during the fall of 2017.

During the main proceedings in Stockholm District Court, Wallin's lawyer Percy Bratt also emphasized the metoo movement when he argued that it was justifiable to publish the information about Virtanen.

- What Cissi Wallin wanted to use is not "everyday" freedom of speech, to leave the task to friends, but of general interest in the light of the metoo, then the whole point is to spread, he began his final plea.

Denies crime

Prosecutor Daniel Suneson said that Fredrik Virtanen was not a ruler of power, but primarily entertainment journalist and that Cissi Wallin's purpose was not to "warn of a dangerous man" because the charges were way back in time.

- Was it justifiable? That is exactly what this goal is all about. The boundary in what you can say on the Internet about another person. That is the only question, I mean, that requires reflection. I don't think it is difficult to describe, or that it is a borderline case, said Daniel Suneson during his final plea.

Cissi Wallin denies crime and Fredrik Virtanen has denied numerous charges of rape and abuse.
