Many follow these illuminating formations, which are fired from a short distance from the village and from the middle of the desert, but they do not know what is behind their preparation, how many hours of daily work they require, and what security measures accompany work on them.

"Emirates Today" visited the scenes of games in the village, and discussed the team specialized in launching, and the supervisor of the platforms and how they work, and what is behind the aesthetic painting and the "first spark", where the field does not tolerate the margin of error.

"The platforms intended for firing fireworks are divided into two areas: front and back, and the total number of platforms in the two regions reaches 10," said the technician responsible for fireworks in the global village, Lama Tolubabo, noting that large fireworks whose size starts from five to eight inches are placed. In the back, while at the front are small toys (three or four inches in size).

He added that the number of front stations reaches seven, while the background reaches three, and fireworks that originate from the rear and large stations can rise to 200 meters in the sky, while the small ones rise to 75 meters, and therefore combine the two types of games sequentially.

And about the way in which fireworks are programmed, he stated that at the beginning they would launch medium games (six inches) with a group of pieces, then they would move to small ones, and then the big ones, and sometimes launch different sizes at one time, especially if the display Especially on a specific occasion, such as the National Day of the Emirates or New Year's Day.

The fireworks show in the village continues to last for about three minutes, and 900 pieces of games are launched during this short time, and during the events the show time is extended to five minutes, and therefore the number of games reaches 1300, according to Tolopapo who stated that the process of connecting the fireworks takes place through a program , As this program carries what is called the "first spark", and through it all the stations are lit at one time, or its starting is divided according to a successive schedule. As for the colors of the fireworks, they are varied, and they are often between red, green, white and gold in addition to violet, and each piece needs three seconds to disappear, as specific colors are used in the occasions, on top of which is the National Day, as fireworks bearing the colors of the Emirati flag are placed Just.

As for the shapes, Tolubabo showed that they are characterized by waterfalls, or even games that explode as bright spots, along with the smiling face or the circle and other shapes, indicating that they deliberately diversify in many shapes, to provide an element of dazzling each time to the visitors of the global village.

It takes about eight hours to prepare for the show, and Tolubabo emphasized that there are four technicians who work to connect the wires for each piece to the power generator that lights it, which is connected to a fireworks program. The work begins in the early morning, because it must be completed before dark, explaining that this work does not tolerate the margin of error, as there must be a concern for safety in the work.

No margin for error

Dubai Police oversees the work related to fireworks, as explained by the technician Lama Tolubabo, as she accompanies them in transporting the games, and when they start to install them, and when they start their launch, the team gathers about 50 meters away, accompanied by the police, who also do not leave the site until after the show ends, to keep Safety and security of workers.

He added that these games carry approximately 50 kilograms of explosive materials, so it is necessary to work with caution, taking care that there is no margin of error, pointing to the presence of rare cases where there are unexploded pieces, and they are removed from the cylinders in the presence of the police.
