Indonesian media reported yesterday that the dismembered farmer was found, apparently after an attack by a rare Sumatran tiger in his coffee field in Sumatra, in the south of the country.

Relatives of the victim Yudiyansah Haryanto said they had been searching for him since Monday, when he did not return home after a day of work in the field.

The search resulted in the finding of another injured farmer, and about 200 meters away pieces of Haryanto's body were found.

Villagers also saw a tiger with blood on its mouth, near the scene of the suspected attack.
