"Evangelion" production company director arrested for obscenity December 5th 12:18

An officer of a company known for producing the popular anime “Neon Genesis Evangelion” was arrested for obscene acts by a woman who wanted to be a voice actor. It means that the charges are denied to the investigation.

Arrested by Susumu Maki Tomohiro (50), an officer of “Gainax”, an animation production company headquartered in Musashino, Tokyo.

According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, in February, there was a suspicion of semi-compulsory obscenity for taking naked photos of women in their late teens or touching their bodies in their home apartment in Adachi-ku, Tokyo.

The woman had an exclusive contract with a production run by the suspected woman, aiming to become a voice actor.

He suspected that he had taken a photo as "training to take a picture as a celebrity" or touched his body saying "I should massage because my legs are swollen".

According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, they have stated that they have been asked to take a photo and denied the charges.

“Gainax” is known for producing the popular anime “Neon Genesis Evangelion”.
