Media minister Arie Slob makes 12.4 million euros available for the Dutch Public Broadcasting (NPO), he writes to the Lower House on Wednesday.

The organization had asked for this amount to be able to pay for the event next year. The amount that Slob wants to contribute comes from advertising income from the Ster.

The European Broadcasting Union pays 9.6 million euros. The NPO contributes 2.5 million euros and the organizing broadcaster AVROTROS pays 2 million.
