The Russian premiere of the film "Black Widow" is scheduled for April 30, 2020. The story of the heroine Scarlett Johansson, the Soviet spy Natasha Romanoff, ended with the death of the character in the final part of the Avengers franchise, so now a kind of prequel is offered to the audience.

The events of the new tape unfold after the movie "Captain America: Civil War", and now other characters are in the spotlight. This is the Red Guard, the Soviet analogue of Captain America, another Black Widow, Elena Belova, as well as the heroine Melina Vostokoff, also known as the Iron Maiden - one of the rivals of Natasha Romanoff.

Judging by the trailer, the creators of the tape also decided to cover the story of Natasha’s origin - it’s possible that the audience will have flashbacks about the heroine’s ballet past, about special training for the operative in the Red Room Academy (the forge of superframes for the KGB), as well as a meeting with the Russian “family” Romanoff , of which the Widow was a part before joining the Avengers. “The company will still meet,” says the heroine Johansson in the trailer.

Indeed, the colleagues of the Black Widow are far from the dream team: the Red Guard is fat and barely fits into the suit, and the inexperienced but arrogant Elena Belova will have to be persuaded to cooperate by force.

The role of the Red Guard went to David Harbor (“Very Strange Things”), the second Black Widow will be played by Florence Pugh (“The Little Drummer”), and the image of the Iron Maiden on the screen will be embodied by Rachel Weisz (“The Mummy”, “Constantine: Lord of Darkness”). The director's chair of the picture was taken by the Australian screenwriter and director Kate Shortland.

A solo film about the superheroine Black Widow will open the fourth phase of the Marvel cinema universe. In July, the head of Marvel Studios Kevin Feigi opened the veil of secrecy regarding other projects that were included in the new group of films created based on the Marvel comics. Among other things, it includes Disney + projects, the sequel to Doctor Strange, a new film about Thor, as well as the picture of the immortal race of superhumans Eternal.

From the very beginning, the Marvel cinematic universe was grouped in phases: with the release of the Spider-Man: Away from Home film, the third phase of the cinema universe dedicated to the Infinity Saga came to an end.

In addition to Natasha Romanoff, in the Marvel comics there are many characters of Russian origin, acting on both sides of good and evil. Among such heroes is Peter Rasputin, known as the Colossus. Rasputin is a mutant whose superpower is that he can turn the soft tissues of his body into organic steel.

In the USSR, Professor X discovered the mutant, after which Colossus joined the X-Men team. In the comics, as well as in Marvel films, Colossus is portrayed as an honest and virtuous character who seeks to use his superpowers for the good.

The hero of David Harbor, the Red Guard, appears in the Marvel Cinema for the first time. There were several characters known under the name Red Guard (as well as heroines under the name Natasha Romanoff). In the film “Black Widow”, the Red Guard is Aleksey Shostakov, one of the most successful test pilots in the USSR and ... husband of Natasha Romanova.

According to the plot of the comics, the couple were divided, informing Romanova that her husband had died during the testing of a new rocket. However, Shostakov does not die and, having undergone special training at the KGB, becomes the Red Guard.

One of the antagonists in the Marvel cinematic universe is Ivan Vanko (in the movie he was played by Mickey Rourke) - the enemy of Iron Man. His father, Anton Vanko, worked for Howard Stark (more precisely, he was engaged in espionage). Ivan was also an engineer, among his inventions - a compact nuclear reactor and energy whips. He attacked Tony Stark, using the development of his own company. Thus, Ivan does not reach the evil genius - he, rather, uses other people's achievements for his own purposes.

In the comics, heroes and villains from the USSR and Russia often turn out to be secondary: Major Ursa, aka Mikhail Medvedev - a positive analogue of the Hulk; KGB officer Abomination - another Hulk from the communist world, but negative; Red Dynamo - Soviet Iron Man.
