When NHK examined the political funds balance report released by prefectures nationwide, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications has called for publication on the Internet for 15 years, but there are still seven online publications. I found that it was not done.

Every year since 2004, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications has notified all prefectures nationwide to actively consider the publication of a report on the balance of political funds on the Internet.

However, according to NHK's investigation, there are 40 prefectures, including Hokkaido and Ehime Prefecture, which have newly begun to publish political funds balance reports on the Internet, and in seven prefectures, 15%, still I found out that there was no online publication.

Local governments that have not made public announcements explain the reasons such as “There are not enough people because the number of political organizations is large and the business is enormous” or “I can't step on when considering the risks of the Internet”.

Takashi Tomisaki of Komazawa University, who is familiar with political funds, said, “The public release of political funds is standard in any developed country, and the situation where you cannot check the balance report online is a big problem. The announcement on the Internet is also important for the purpose of making changes and public / private separation.

The seven unpublished prefectures are as follows.
