It's the return of one of the most popular singers in France. Renaud released a new album, "Kids and children first", Friday, November 29. A disc on childhood, with a cover and images signed Zep, the designer and father of Titeuf. Europe 1 met the singer with an inimitable voice, a little stressed by the release of this new album. "It's an expectation, we're feverish," says the artist. "I wonder if my audience will be children, or grown-ups, or grown-ups, anyway, to all those who have kept a child's soul."

If, initially, the album is addressed to the children, its public can also savor the return of the singer in a beautiful album. "Seven-year-olds, 70-year-olds, in any case, there is tenderness," says the artist, referring to his audience. In this album, Renaud is nostalgic. "Childhood is always present in me, sweet as honey, but far away." The singer was a child "rather wise, a little wild, closed in. My father passed on to me his taste of writing and music, my mother transmitted me the fraternity between all the men", says he.

Asked about his health, the singer is anxious to reassure his audience. "Buddies call me grumpy, but I feel like a charm, a phoenix rising from the ashes thanks to a little detox with a very good addictologist, who made me do sports: bike riding. apartment, swimming, I'm going back to battle. "
His latest album, carried by the song "Toujours debout", was one of the musical highlights of the year 2016. It has sold more than 700,000 copies and was followed by a long tour. With the release of this new album, Renaud takes the opportunity to respond to criticism of his voice that annoys him. "It's my voice, it's like that, I have an inimitable style it seems!", Jokes the singer. "I do not sing right, I do not sing wrong, I sing true as a fan told me."
