Spectators have been watching the interiors of Buckingham Palace and the endless Rolls Royces for three seasons, from which members of the royal family of five generations go out onto the carpet paths. Sometimes someone leaves to stay on a Scottish estate, and someone leaves to study at Eaton.

On airplanes, the most august persons plow the cloudy British sky on the way to their many colonies, which they, of course, perceive as their property. Prince Consort Philip - the husband of Elizabeth II - approaches the local African leader, points to the medal on his chest and says: “Oh! I have the same one. Where did you get her? ”

Moreover, all, as a rule, are restrained and, of course, in full accordance with the forced ideals, are prim. At five o'clock - tea, before dinner - an aperitif, it is not customary to talk about feelings. We need to talk about the weather and a little about politics, but only in a narrow circle.

But behind the external artistic part - behind the muffled brilliance of glasses and tiaras - the abyss of real life opens.

This series at a certain level tells (more precisely, speaks out) about how Britain owns the world, without stopping even before sacrificing the fate of its monarchs.

This series is about crippled lives, about how everyone lives someone else's life, losing their own.

And Elizabeth II was not supposed to be a queen, and her father George VI was not supposed to be a king, and everything had to turn out differently, but everything turned out as it is - with all the horror of the 20th century, in which (in horror) Britain took a direct part .

And then it was already impossible to stop - they forced their children to live other people's lives, and crippled their sister simply for the reason that it was so customary. Princess Margaret wanted to live in love and peace, but this is not accepted. This is indecent, the government and parliament will not approve of this - this person is not a couple for you. And how is it accepted? But it’s customary to break one’s fate and pull the veins from the person to the very limit, leaving him an empty rag doll with a stroke and suicide - this is our way, this is royal.

There is one extremely curious episode in the series: the capture of the Suez Company by soldiers of Egyptian Prime Minister Gamal Nasser. It seems to be terrorism. But it is in this episode that the essence of the British political worldview is revealed.

And we love this texture to unconsciousness. Well, if someone got rich, then it will certainly build a mansion in the English style. Let it be near the eight-lane highway, let it be in the middle of a bare scorched field, let it be behind a high profile-metal fence. So even better. The main thing is in the English style.

Children are absolutely necessary to send to a school created according to the English model - also in a clean field on a fashionable highway there is an infinitely large building in a conditionally English style: bricks, battlements, turrets. And there are two aspects to be wary of.

Firstly, often behind this cosplay and blind reconstruction, people do not see the essence of the phenomenon. Why did it happen there?
