Art Dubai continues its unique creative journey that attracts all that is amazing and unique. The exhibition, which witnesses the participation of more than 90 diverse exhibitions from 40 countries, revealed the diverse mix of distinctive works of art, creative artists and innovative practices, which reinforces Art Dubai's position. »Global is an artistic forum that reflects Dubai's unique identity, where diverse cultures are harmonious.

Art Dubai 2020 underscores its commitment to providing a platform for exploration that engages global perspectives and expands constructive dialogues, beyond traditional boundaries that are shackled by geography and led by the West. The next edition of the show will feature 21 exhibitions for the first time from Nigeria, Sudan and Vietnam, and will feature the largest selection of exhibitions to date from the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia.

Residences returns for the third time with a focus on the African continent and invites selected artists to reside in the UAE to see the local art scene and present new works to be unveiled at the exhibition. In its largest-ever edition, Art Dubai Modern features lightly evaluated presentations highlighting contemporary art professors from the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia. Following its launch in 2019, the second edition of Bawabat includes presentations created last year and portrayed specifically for the exhibition, revealing alternative perspectives from and around the Middle East, Central and Southeast Asia, Africa and Latin America. «Contemporary Art Contemporary»

The 2020 edition of Art Dubai Contemporary will witness a selection of 55 exhibitions in line with the focus of the exhibition on enriching dialogues beyond traditional art production centers. «Residences» in a third version

Under the management of artistic value Capello Malatsi from Johannesburg, Residences returns in 2020 with its third edition, focusing on the African continent, and showcasing individual works from invited exhibitions whose artists participated in the UAE residency program. The residency program encourages artists to explore and interact with local arts and cultures. This specific geographical focus provides visitors with a broader experience within this context, and contributes to enriching dialogue between artistic patterns and socio-geographical experiences.

«Gateway» .. Stories and methods of narration

The second edition of Bawabat, curated by Nancy Adaghania, a curator and cultural researcher from Mumbai, presents a variety of perspectives, emphasizing Art Dubai's focus on diverse stories and narrative styles. The value translates the name of the exhibition in its management as an innovative style that focuses on contemporary international works in external locations without double standards that differentiate between Western art and the so-called non-Western.

This year, Nancy will present 10 individual works by artists from Peru, India, Vietnam, Mexico and other countries around the world to highlight the creative production of these countries, as well as outstanding exploration of sites inspired by the arts from their fertile surroundings.
