Editorial Unit consolidates its dominance among the Spanish press groups. The editor of EL MUNDO, Marca y Expansión , among other headers, accumulates 2,474,000 readers in the third wave of the General Media Study (EGM), the last of this year. With this result, it remains the leader, ahead of Prensa Ibérica (2,181,000), Vocento (2,080,000), Prisa (1,827,000) and Godó (936,000).

The leadership of the Editorial Unit is driven by EL MUNDO, which with 671,000 readers is consolidated as the second generalist newspaper of Spain, only behind El País (1,013,000) and well ahead of the following newspapers: La Vanguardia occupies the third place with 549,000 readers, followed by La Voz de Galicia (514,000), ABC (460,000), El Periódico (361,000), El Correo (290,000), La Nueva España (268,000) and La Razón (213,000).

The good result of EL MUNDO comes after significant growth in regions such as Murcia , Aragon , Catalonia and Andalusia , where it achieves an increase in readers of 36%, 25%, 21% and 21%, in the comparison with a year ago .

In the field of sports press, Marca once again imposes its absolute dominance with 1,672,000 readers, a fact that serves to maintain itself as the most read newspaper in Spain and monopolize 50% of the audience in its sector. At a great distance are As , with 772,000 readers, El Mundo Deportivo (387,000) and Sport (363,000). It is also strongly imposed in its Expansion sector, the newspaper of Economic Information of Editorial Unit that accumulates 131,000 readers, at a great distance from its competitor Cinco Días (42,000).
