In celebration of the 48th National Day, students, teachers and parents from GEMS schools gathered to form the world's largest mosaic panel of plastic bottle caps to write 'Zayed's Ambitions Embrace Space' in English, setting a record New in Guinness World Records.

The event, which was hosted by the James Al Barsha National School for Boys, was attended by Sheikh Juma bin Maktoum Al Juma.
The painting entered the Guinness Book of Records by collecting 13,434 bottle caps, breaking the previous record of 5,009 in Japan.

The theme of the mosaic reflects the commitment of the GEMS Education Group to support the achievements and successes of the UAE in its national agenda.

Participants glued the package caps onto a specially designed 14-by-220-meter wooden board using glue, then painted them in the colors of the UAE flag.

In just 48 years, the UAE's James Education Group CEO Dino Varkey said the UAE has become a modern nation that is admired by the world and renowned for its ability to keep up with the latest global trends.

"The formation of the world's largest mosaic of plastic bottle caps is a token of love and appreciation to the people and leadership of the UAE for their vision, which has always stimulated the growth of our educational community."
