Now the trial between Fredrik Virtanen and Cissi Wallin ends

On Thursday, prosecutors and the parties' attorneys were interviewed by Cissi Wallin and Fredrik Virtanen and presented the evidence, which mainly consisted of the six Instagram posts for which Cissi Wallin is charged.

- I firmly believe that what I said is true, my big and only purpose has been to tell the truth. To tell about the abuse of power that I have been exposed to, Cissi Wallin said during the interview.

In October 2017, Cissi Wallin wrote on Instagram that Fredrik Virtanen had raped her. The incident must have taken place in 2006 and the police were notified in 2011. The following year, the preliminary investigation was closed in the absence of evidence. At the beginning of 2018, Fredrik Virtanen reported Cissi Wallin for gross defamation.

Among other things, Fredrik Virtanen told during interrogations that he had to receive large amounts of network hatred and threats.

- I just see this hatred turning towards me. The humiliation, being thrown out in the square and spit on and pissed off by the whole world as it felt. Many in my industry especially.

On Monday, a number of witnesses will be heard. Among other things, a person who worked for a security company that conducted the internal investigation that Aftonbladet set up around Virtanen in the fall of 2017.

The investigation is no longer left, neither with the security company nor the Aftonbladet and therefore one of the persons who carried it out is interrogated. At the end of the day, the lawyers and the prosecutor will plead.

The district court has to decide whether Instagram posts are grossly defamatory. The prosecutor's side believes that the posts, especially the first, have received huge dissemination and caused great damage to Fredrik Virtanen. The defense is of the opinion that the posts certainly contain the information provided by the defense, but that it was justifiable to leave the information because it was part of the metoo movement and because Fredrik Virtanen had a strong public position. The information is also true, according to the defense. Fredrik Virtanen has constantly denied all charges.

Virtanen wants SEK 240,000 in infringement compensation and SEK 26,000 for burning and pain.
