“The indescribable, magical and powerful atmosphere I want all women, non-binary and transgender people to experience at some point in their lives. That is the biggest reason why I want to join in and do the festival again, ”says promoter and comedian Emma Knyckare according to a press release.

Knyckare got the idea after reports of sexual abuse and abuses at Swedish festivals. Statement's basic philosophy is to be a free zone for women, transgender people and nonbinary people.

Fell off DO

The festival took place after a lot of attention last August with, among others, Rebecca & Fiona, Frida Hyvönen, Jenny Wilson, Girlschool and Joy on stage.

Statements were later dropped for discrimination by the Discrimination Ombudsman because they described the festival as "man-free". In practice, however, men were not prevented from buying a ticket or entering.
