Graham King, the producer of the Bohemian Rhapsody film, is said to have obtained the rights to make a film about Michael Jackson's complicated life. Deadline reports that King of Jackson's family, who manages his estate, has had access to all the music from the pop star.
The pop star died in 2009 at the age of fifty. He is considered one of the most successful artists of the twentieth century, but there was a shadow side. In his adult years, he was accused of sexual abuse. In 2019 there was a documentary about it: Leaving Neverland .
Screenwriter John Logan would write the script for the film. Among other things, he wrote the scripts for Gladiator (2000), The Aviator (2004) and Hugo (2011). These films earned him an Oscar nomination.
Starting next year, a musical about Michael Jackson will also premiere on Broadway: MJ The Musical . The American actor Ephraim Sykes plays the lead role.
