His fourth album was released in March 2020. In the meantime, fans of Ben l'Oncle Soul can enjoy a mini EP of three tracks (six with acoustic versions) entitled Ben , released on November 1st. No more suspenders and the bow tie, it's in basketball, cap and little jacket that Ben l'Oncle Soul shows up on his mini EP.

"Let go of the past a little"

"I do not necessarily want to lock myself into the character we have known", justifies the artist, who was the guest of Émilie Mazoyer in Music! , on Europe 1. "On this mini EP, there is a desire to let go of the past and say: 'we've been vintage, now we're on something a little more modern'."

"There is not a single piece that looks alike"

For music production, he launched on social networks a call to "beatmakers", or "rhythmic designers", composers of instrumental pieces for hip-hop or RnB, on social networks. "We had 300 songs in two days," says the singer. With his team, they then listened to listen to a dozen titles, put his voice on and orchestrate the arrangements. "At the level of music, it's super eclectic, there is not a single piece that looks alike," promises Ben Uncle Soul.
