Before the Pope's visit to Hiroshima City on the 24th of this month, training was conducted to find illegal radio waves that interfered with the radio and broadcast relay required for security.

This training was conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, China General Communications Bureau, to confirm the response when the Pope Francis of the Roman Catholic Church visited Hiroshima City and the police radio used for security contact was interrupted. I did it.

The training was carried out on the assumption that someone in a park in Naka-ku, Hiroshima City was obstructed by someone from illegally transmitting TV.

First, staff members boarded a vehicle equipped with a special device that can detect the direction of illegal radio waves, and determined the general direction.

Then, after confirming the direction on a special monitor that visualizes radio waves, we held the antenna-type dedicated device and identified the criminals who were sending illegal radio waves.

On the 24th of this month, the Pope of Rome visits Hiroshima City to monitor whether illegal radio waves are being transmitted around the Peace Park and at airports.

Mr. Koji Suto, Director of the China Bureau of Communications, said, “I want to monitor with tension and quickly remove sources when radio interference occurs.”
