Three college students who threaten table tennis medalist Mizutani arrested November 20 12:55

Three men and women, including college students, were arrested on the suspicion of threatening cash from Olympic Olympic medalist Satoshi Mizutani.

Three people were arrested, a third-year student from Komazawa University living in Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, Yuki Sawano (20), Shun Suzuki (20), and a 19-year-old girl working part-time.

According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, three people said that they met with a 19-year-old girl privately against Minoru Mizutani (30), a table tennis player, in July. There is a suspicion of attempted extortion trying to threaten cash.

A girl who worked part-time at a restaurant in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo became acquainted with Mizutani, and her partner Sawano, who knew this, tried to threaten cash with her friend, Suzuki.

Mizutani didn't respond to the request and reported damage to the Metropolitan Police Department.

Of the three people, Sawano and the girl allegedly accused the investigation, and Suzuki suspected that they thought they would not be a blackmail.

Mizutani is one of Japan's leading table tennis players. At the Rio de Janeiro Olympics, he has won a silver medal in men's groups and a bronze medal in singles, aiming to participate in the Tokyo Olympics.
