The Spanish singer Rosalia will be a candidate for the award for best new artist in the 62nd Grammy , the United States Recording Academy announced Wednesday.

Rosalia will face Black Pumas, Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X, Lizzo, Maggie Rogers, Tank And The Bangas and Yola in this highly-rated category of music awards.

Lizzo , with eight nominations, Billie Eilish and Lil Nas X, with six each and ahead of Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift , are the most nominated artists of this edition of the Grammy.

The Spanish also received a Grammy nomination for best Latin rock album, urban or alternative for her album "El mal querer" .

In this section, Rosalia will have as rivals "X 100pre" of Bad Bunny, "Oasis" of Bad Bunny and J Balvin , "Indestructible" by Flor de Toloache and "Almadura" by iLe.

The 62 edition of the Grammy will be held on January 26 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles (USA) and will feature, for the second consecutive year, singer Alicia Keys as master of ceremonies.

Rosalía will be presented at this great music gala with two nominations and after winning last week at the Latin Grammy, where she won three awards , including the award for the album of the year for "El mal querer".
