Terry O'Neil died in his home on Saturday after a long battle with prostate cancer, writes The Guardian. He made a name for himself during swinging London in the 1960s and among the motifs were several of the most famous actors and artists of the time. During the latter part of his career, he photographed, among others, Amy Winehouse, Nicole Kidman, Nelson Mandela and Queen Elizabeth.

Last year he explained to The Guardian that there were no longer any people worth teasing.

- Amy Winehouse was the last with real talent. All the real stars have disappeared, he said.

Last year, he was also awarded the Commander of the British Empire. O'Neill was married to American actor Faye Dunaway from 1983 to 1987 and they had a son together.
