The capital of Lithuania has acquired its own specialty. On November 9-10, the Forum of Free Russia was held there for the eighth time, and in six months, in May 2020, the next, already ninth, forum is expected.
Given the extreme ephemeral nature of such emigrant congresses - more than one and then already success, but here there are eight, - the optimism of chess player G.K. is partly understandable. Kasparov, who is a permanent participant in the Vilnius events: “It seems to me that we have found a sure nerve. There is always something to talk about here, new people come, representatives of national republics, fugitives of the "Moscow affair" have appeared.

The grandmaster’s optimism was so great that he promised: "By the IX forum, its participants will be ready to become a structured representative of the Russian opposition abroad in order to be able to contact different organizations in the USA and Europe."

Kasparov probably had in mind that by May next year, the congress of the Committee for the Liberation of the Peoples of Russia would acquire some official or at least semi-official status of a structure somewhere and with someone accredited. If not like the Russian government in exile, then at least somewhere on this line.
Indeed, in 2003, when the American army marched on a victorious march to Baghdad, representatives of the Iraqi emigration were driven into the convoys who convinced the Washington authorities that everything was seized from them in Iraq and the liberated citizens were just waiting to stand under the banner of the Union of Swords and Shouts. True, if the example of 2003 inspires the Vilnius delegates, then, perhaps, in vain. The Iraqi emigration showed such incapacity, combined with the Eastern scam, that it was too much even for the gullible Americans, and since then their enthusiasm for the emigration brought in the wagons has somewhat cooled down.
However, from the lips of the same Harry Kimovich it sounded: "If the forum ever takes place in Moscow, it will be called the Constituent Assembly." True, it remained unclear whether the election of the founding member to the delegates to the Vilnius guests was guaranteed - how could it be otherwise - or with the move from Vilna to Moscow, the forum would simply be reassigned to a meeting - which would decide everything for the liberated Russians.
In addition to the global tasks of raising one's own status, the forum dealt with more private issues.
Delegates noted the danger of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline and the treacherous role of the West in its construction. As a remedy against the flow, it was proposed to conduct protest flash mobs.
The list of future scripts has been replenished. It included several dozen judges and police officers who distinguished themselves in pacifying the riots this summer in Moscow. And also in the category of "Oligarchs and corrupt officials" they wrote in him a former ally of AB Chubais and the former ATP functionary, who spent the money of the pension fund and fled with them to London B.I. Mintz, which is at least clear - people need to be pleasant. According to the category of “Propaganda” in the proclamation list brought a glorious designer and swindler A.A. Lebedev (Artemy Tatyanovich). What he did not please is difficult to understand, however, the watch revolution is not mistaken.
Just when compiling the lists, it was highlighted - and at this congress especially - an important characteristic feature of the liberators of Russia. Theoretically recognizing the need for consolidation, universal solidarity, etc., (however, who doesn’t recognize it verbally), the participants of the Vilnius Congress once again dissociated themselves from the systemic and semi-systemic Russian liberals: “Only tin! Only hardcore! ”
Moreover, the difference is frankly small. Just what is sober on the mind, then on the drunk on the tongue, and besides, sislibs, like affectionate calves, suck two uterus, and emigrants are deprived of this opportunity. In the field of ideology, it is not clear what to share. Both those and those for the liberation of the peoples of Russia. Probably intraspecific competition.
The same competition also explains the rather cool, not to say hostile, attitude of the Vilnius congregation towards A.A. Navalny. Moreover, it is also unclear what they should share in the ideological sense: that wrestler and that wrestler, and every brave young man, Navalny’s desire to row everything under him distresses them. As is understandable, nothing will remain for emigrant mummies.
It would probably be easier to recognize historical law. The return of the emigrant to his homeland as an acting politician, and the first plan is an extremely rare case. On V.I. Lenin, Imam Khomeini and Napoleon III, who managed to do such a trick, there are thousands of failed and turned out to be useless to anyone. But - we all look at Napoleons, at the extreme - at Napoleons III. Therefore, the Vilnius show must go on.
