The Emperor and his wife saw a special exhibition introducing the stringed instruments held by the Shosoin office, which were restored by the Emperor's Empress using a spear that was raised in the Imperial Palace.

The special exhibition “The World of Shosoin – The Beauty the Imperial Family Covered” was opened by NHK and others to commemorate the imperial throne. The Emperor and his wife were in Tokyo, Ueno, 4:30 pm before. Arrived at the National Museum.

About 90 items were exhibited at the venue, such as a jug of Shosoin treasure made in the 8th century called “Shikkohei” and treasures presented to the Imperial Family from Horyu-ji Temple during the Meiji period. The couple took 40 minutes to watch while receiving explanations from the person in charge.

Among them, the “Mozou Raden Tan Gogenbiwa” in the Shogakuin Office, which restored stringed instruments made in Tang, China in the 8th century, has patterns of characters and flowers. It was expressed brilliantly in the shellwork, and the Emperor was told that "I am trying various things."

The restoration of this string was done using a spear called “Koishimaru” raised by the Empress at the Imperial Palace, and the Empress said with a smile that he was happy to use it.

The special exhibition will be held at the Tokyo National Museum until the 24th of this month.
