A unique event is held on the deck of the battleship “Mikasa” preserved in a park in Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture, where you can enjoy a footbath while watching the sea.

The battleship “Mikasa” served as the flagship of the Allied Fleet in the Russo-Japanese War and was also certified as a Japanese heritage. We have a city alliance.

An event to enjoy a footbath inspired by the Dogo Onsen of Matsuyama on the deck of “Mikasa” began on the 9th, in order to make this connection widely known.

In the hot water, there is a bathing agent inspired by Dogo Onsen, and the mandarin oranges of Matsuyama are floating.

Visitors enjoyed the warmth of the footbath while putting their feet in a plastic bag up to their knees and looking at the sea.

A 35-year-old man who visited Yokohama for sightseeing said, “The temperature is low today, so it feels warm and warm. I think my 1-year-old daughter is happy and very good.”

Mr. Akinori Takei of the Matsuyama City Tourism and International Affairs Division said, “I would be happy if I could think of the connection between Yokosuka and Matsuyama while staying in the footbath.”

This event will be held until the 17th of this month, and if you pay the viewing fee for Mikasa, you can enjoy the footbath for free.
