Nine-year-old Laurent Simons will soon receive his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology, reports the Eindhovens Dagblad Saturday (ED).
Laurent went to high school at the age of six, and at the age of seven he was allowed to start a research project at the Academic Medical Center (AMC) in Amsterdam.
He recently studied Electricial Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology. The training lasts an average of three years, but Laurent will complete it within one year.
He goes through his studies so quickly that it gives him a mention in the Guiness Book of Records.
What exactly Laurent will do after graduating in the Netherlands is still unclear. As soon as he has handed in his final project, a delegation from American universities comes to the Netherlands.
Together with the Eindhoven University of Technology, they will see if there is a possibility for Laurent to cooperate.
