The United States sent an official notice to the United Nations on withdrawal from the Paris climate agreement, although a fundamental decision was made by Trump back in 2017. And then, and now this decision provokes a protest both within the United States and from world leaders. First, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that this act would complicate relations between the two countries, and now Gerd Müller, Minister of Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany, said that this decision is a step backward in the framework of protecting international nature. Mr. Trump dismisses world leaders with ease. Already someone, and the US president from the first days of the presidency looks down at the rest of the world. And all would be fine, but two years ago the world had not yet heard of the angry Greta.

Whoever says anything, but Greta Tunberg is a unique child. Thousands of schoolchildren skip classes, but only a Swedish girl does it so meaningfully, with anguish and cold rage. In her hands is the fate of our planet, suffocating from the excess of carbon dioxide that oil and gas giants, ruthless owners of coal mines, as well as automobile magnates, continue to throw into the atmosphere.

I think many of us saw a photograph of Greta, sizzling the eyes of the most odious politician of our time and coincidentally the head of the most powerful country in the world, Donald Trump. Trump, even during his campaign, became an absentee opponent of Greta and the entire progressive world, since the old man does not believe in the man-made causes of global warming. By the way, this statement (that human activity is the main reason for the steady increase in temperature on the planet) is a rare case of wide consensus among scientists around the world.

Three years ago, just under half of the US voting population elected the tycoon as their president. All these three years, the second half of voters can not move away from the shock. It is worth remembering that the republican states are leaders in the emission of CO₂ into the atmosphere, which means that Trump is a candidate for oilmen, gas producers and miners. He immediately began to play a card of infringement of American interests. The Paris Climate Agreement - a framework agreement to reduce carbon emissions - he called the loss of millions of jobs. The very theory of global warming is a Chinese invention in the struggle for world domination.

Exactly a year later, the United States will no longer be bound in many declarative obligations to limit emissions. Exactly one year later - and this is a funny coincidence - Americans can choose another president for themselves.

In fairness, it must be said that dozens of major US companies, such as Facebook, Apple, Microsoft and Google, signed an open letter against the country's withdrawal from this agreement, and several states created the American Climate Alliance and pledged to comply with the terms of the agreement contrary to Washington’s actions.

Meanwhile, Greta Tunberg continues her struggle to maintain peace on both sides of the Atlantic. She met with the famous eco-activist Leonardo DiCaprio - and how can one not recall his quote from “Django the Liberated”: “Gentlemen, at first you aroused my curiosity, but now you have attracted my attention!” Greta doesn’t attract this attention take away.

The next celebrity on her list, where, incidentally, was the Pope, was the former governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger. Yes, and Greta herself has already become a celebrity and looks with an angry look even from cardboard pictures above tables with plastic cups in coffee houses.

Children are a convenient tool. We are all ready to sacrifice everything for the well-being of children, and we, Soviet schoolchildren, at one time were full of desire to help the children of Africa. Today, a Swedish child reads a soulful speech at the UN General Assembly and takes control of the fate of all other children on planet Earth. A double blow is not otherwise. And now the Minister of Ecological Transformation of Spain, Teresa Ribera, offers assistance in paying for the flight of Grete Thunberg to Chile - at the UN climate summit in December. It is no longer up to school - the future of the planet is far more important.

We are witnessing a battle between 16-year-old Greta Tunberg and 73-year-old Donald Trump, and time is definitely on the side of the young activist. I have no doubt that we will see her in Chile, and Trump will probably ignore this event. America first is one of the key messages of the president who wants to stay for a second term no less than to avoid impeachment during the first. I have no doubt that another, non-public motto of the elderly Donald is the old French proverb “After us at least a flood!” (Or any other consequence of global warming). After all, when is the climate on our planet finally going bad? And the elections in a year!
